Welcomeness and Inclusion of Women in Hackathons:

Call to Participate in a Research Study

 

Participants needed, here are individual qualifications:

o   Woman

o   Working/Worked Full/Part Time is a computer/software/similar field

o   Participated in at least one Hackathon.

 

Do you know someone who meets the above criteria? Please share this with them!

 

In this study, if selected, you will be invited to a Zoom meeting and asked about your experience of welcomeness and inclusion at the hackathon, or hackathons you participated in. You will be asked to discuss your experience of welcomeness and inclusion. The audio of the interview will be recorded for the purpose of creating a text transcript of the interview which will be used for research purposes.

 

 

Other important points

·      This study is part of a dissertation research project at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC).

·      Your personal information, name, address, work affiliations, etc. will be kept strictly confidential.

·      You will need to sign a Statement of Informed Consent that has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of the UAGC.

·      A redacted transcript of the interview will be available to you for you to review in order to ensure accuracy and correctness.
